The Art of the Soul: Why I’m Moved by Marc Chagall
We’ve all had those moments where we’re wandering through a museum, and suddenly, the world around us just... fades. For me, that moment happened at the Royal Academy in London. I found myself standing in front of Marc Chagall’s work, and before I knew it, I was moved to tears.
My Favourite Inspirational Art Piece: The Apparition

The painting I’ve shared here is my absolute favourite. There is an incredible, raw energy in the way Chagall captures the moment of inspiration.
The Emotion: You can almost feel the weight of the "apparition" or the muse as it descends.
The Palette: The ethereal blues and the dreamlike, cubist geometry create a space that feels more like a memory or a prayer than a physical room.
The Connection: For me, it’s about that overwhelming feeling of being visited by a big idea or a powerful emotion—something so large it’s almost frightening, yet beautiful.
Chagall had this unique ability to weave folklore, romance, and deep spirituality into his work. When I look at this, I don’t just see paint on a canvas; I see a soul laid bare.
This is why I’m Moved by Marc Chagall
